Long Summary
Preservation & Decorative Arts, founded by Jacintha Kruc, is a Philadelphia based female owned studio with over fifteen years of experience in conservation and decorative arts. We partner with architects, interior designers, developers, cultural institutions, other Preservationists and homeowners to care for and enhance Philadelphia’s historic built environment.
Our services include:
Conservation and restoration of historic spaces, murals, painted and decorative surfaces, woodwork and heritage items.
Replication and application of authentic period finishes.
Traditional faux finishes including marbling, wood graining, gilding and Venetian plaster as well as ornamental plasterwork.
Conservation treatment of antique clock dials and paintings.
We employ time honored conservation techniques to deliver treatments that are authentic, reversible and durable. Rigorous condition reporting and photographic documentation accompany projects to ensure transparency and long term stewardship.
Recent highlights include ceiling conservation in Founders Hall at Girard College, the faux plaster marble columns in the Bellevue Hotel Lobby, historic furniture restoration for the Pennsylvania State Capitol and bespoke decorative schemes in high end residential and commercial interiors.
